  13. What was the first home computer multitasking Operating System that 
  14. could handle pre-emptive multitasking?  Was it AmigaOS or something 
  15. before 1984/85?

  17. I remember OS/9 on the Tandy CoCo 3 could multitask but could it 
  18. premptively multitask or just co-operatively?  Also around which time did 
  19. this OS get released?

  23. P.S. As a side note, not to start a thread, but could some people send me 
  24. some arguements stating why MS-DOS cannot be considered an OS and is 
  25. merely a glorified file loader?  What is it about it that does not fit 
  26. the description of a full fledged OS or if you think it is, what is it 
  27. about it that MAKES it an OS.  What ARE the requirements for an OS to be 
  28. considered an OS?  Send me e-mail preferably on THIS subject.
